I am Ibrahim Fawzy. Most people online have known me as Hima since I was twelve.

I build things and break things. Software is the medium I’m best at, but the habit doesn’t stop there: products, systems, ideas, routines, the occasional recipe. I’m a computer scientist by training and a polymath by temperament, which means I go deep on whatever has my attention this month and refuse to feel bad about it.

I live and work in Egypt, mostly on my own. That shapes a lot of what I write: how things actually get made and used when you don’t have a team, a budget, or a Silicon Valley postcode.

This site is my sphere. The experiences, findings, and hard-won lessons I run into daily, written down while they’re still sharp and before I’ve had a chance to make them sound smarter than they were.
